Free Competition Prize Terms and Conditions

Our terms

1. Promoter

1.1. By entering the competition, you are agreeing to these prize competition terms and conditions and acknowledge that failure to comply with them results in disqualification.

1.2. The competition is being run by Dogmates Ltd ‘COMPANY’ of 9th Floor 107 Cheapside, London, EC2V 6DN.

2. Eligibility

2.1. The competition is open to all participants resident in the UK who are over 18 years of age.

2.2. Employees and immediate family members of employees of Dogmates Ltd and their associated companies, professional advisers, advertising and promotional agencies are not eligible to take part in the competition.

2.3. In entering the competition, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim any prize you may win.

2.4. A maximum of one entry per individual is permitted. Multiple or incomplete entries will be deemed invalid.

2.5. The competition is free to enter and no purchase is necessary.

3. How to participate

3.1. Participation in the competition takes place via the website:https://join.butternutbox.com/direct-sales-lead-gen/

3.2. The competition opens at 00:00GMT on 28/08/2024 (“Start date”) and closes at 00:00GMT on 28/02/2025 (“Closing Date”). Entries received after this time will not be valid or considered.

3.3. To enter the competition, you must:

Provide your first name, last name, your dog’s name email address and phone number.

4. Exclusion from participation

4.1. Dogmates Ltd will not accept responsibility if contact details provided are incomplete or inaccurate.

4.2. Dogmates Ltd will disqualify any competition entries that are considered to be fraudulent or not in good faith and reserves all rights to disqualify you if your conduct is contrary to the spirit or intention of the competition.

5. Prizes

5.1. The prize will be as follows: 3 months of Butternut Box including enough food to feed your dog 100% of its calorie requirements for 3 months. The approximate retail value of the prize is limited to £200.

5.2. The winners will be drawn at random by 03/03/2025.

5.3. The prizes are non-exchangeable, non-transferable and no cash alternatives will be offered.

5.4. We reserve the right to substitute prizes with another prize of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond our control make it necessary to do so.

6. Winner announcement

6.1. Winners will be notified by email within 48 hours after the draw with instructions on how to claim the prize.

6.2. Dogmates Ltd will attempt to contact winners by email up to two times. If contact is not made, Dogmates Ltd reserves the right to choose and notify a new winner.

7. Claiming the prize

7.1. The winner will have 7 days from the date they were notified of winning to claim the prize by responding to the email notification. Winners may be required to provide further identification or documentation to Dogmates Ltd in order to claim their prize.

7.2. If a winner does not claim their prize within 7 days, they will lose their right to the prize. Dogmates Ltd reserves the right to choose and notify a new winner.

7.3. The prize will be sent within 30 days after the closing date of the competition.

8. Data protection

8.1. You consent to any personal information you provide in entering the competition being used by Dogmates Ltd for the purposes of administering the competition.

8.2. Winners agree to participate in any reasonable publicity related to the competition which may include the publication of their name and photograph in any media. In case of publication, participants will be informed and given the possibility to object or reduce the information published or made available.

9. Early termination and cancelation of competition.

Dogmates Ltd reserves the right to pause or terminate the competition in whole or in part for good cause without prior notice. This applies in particular if circumstances exist which can disrupt or prevent the planned process of the competition, such as the occurrence of computer viruses, software and/or hardware errors and/or for other technical reasons which result in a significant impairment. This shall also apply in the event of manipulation or attempted manipulation which influences the administration, security, integrity and/or regular and proper implementation of the competition.

10. Limitation of liability

Dogmates Ltd does not accept any liability for any damage, loss, injury or disappointment suffered by any entrants as a result of either participating in the competition or being selected for a prize, save that the Dogmates Ltd does not exclude its liability for death or personal injury as a result of its own negligence.

11. Notice and conditions of Facebook

Each of Facebook and Instagram may be used to advertise or promote the competition. By entering the competition, participants agree that the competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered or associated with Facebook. Participants have no claims against Facebook arising from participation in the competition or from a prize in the competition. Enquiries and notices by the participants are to be directed exclusively to Dogmates Ltd and not to Facebook.

12. General provisions

12.1. Dogmates Ltd reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time, without prior notice.

12.2. If any provision in these terms and conditions is held, in whole or part, to be invalid or unenforceable for any reason, the validity of the remaining provisions of these terms and conditions shall not be affected, and they shall continue to be valid and enforceable. The invalid or unenforceable provision shall be replaced with a valid provision which is as similar as possible in substance to the invalid or unenforceable provision.

12.3. The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by English law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
